Join us as the Manager Production where you will be responsible to manage the Waterval Smelter’s production by creating a safe working culture, develop competent people, optimize asset utilisation, implement new technology and manage cost efficiently.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
Provide and maintain a working environment that is safe and without risk to health of the employees in compliance to regulations
Provide and maintain systems of work, plant and machinery that are safe and without risk for employees to achieve production targets
Ensure compliance to all legal, environmental, occupational health, safety and risk management standards and best practices
Submit inputs to the Smelter’s business plan
Implement identified asset optimization and technical initiative projects
Support the overall management of the Operation
Strong internal and external stakeholder management experience
This role is in the Processing Department at a Band 5 level reporting in to the Smelter General Manager.
BSc degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy
A minimum of 10 years post graduate qualification experience relevant for the role, with at least 3 – 5 years in a senior position.
Significant experience in processing roles. Pyrometallurgy / smelters environment an advantage.
