We have an exciting position for a SHE Governance and Assurance Practitioner that will be responsible for the delivering of quality SHE Risk & Assurance Audits as well implementing processes and systems to track progress and effectiveness in the implementation by the Operation on actions arising from SHE Risk Management, Incident Investigations and Audits.

Job Description:
The SHE Governance And Assurance Practitioner role is a key role that will do the following:

Implement, coordinate and conduct First Party SHE Risk Theme Audits at the operation;
Plan & coordinate the External SHE System Certification Audit;
Plan, implement and coordinate the Internal SHE System Audit Program for the operation;
Plan, Implement and assist in the execution of Operational SHE Internal Legal Compliance Assessments;
Plan and Implement an Annual Operational Assurance Program;
Plan and implement an operational audit schedule on critical areas to ensure the elimination of Fatal Incidents, Major Potential Incidents, and High Potential Incidents (AFRS, Risk Assurance, technical reviews);
Implement the required SHE Risk & Assurance system procedures, systems and standards;
Audit on a Quarterly Basis the close-out and effectiveness of implementation of actions that arise from operational incident investigations, risk assessments and audit reports;
Provide risk based operational input to operations SHE plan to ensure key focus areas address Major Risks, Audit Results, and Learning from Incidents;
Participate during Peer review audits as and when required.
This role is based at the Operations SHERQ Department at a Band D1 level with direct reporting to Snr SHE Specialist.
National Diploma in either Safety, Occupational Health & Environment or Higher;
Risk/hazard/legislative/assurance/audit qualifications to be included;
Courses in SHEQR Management Systems (ISO 9001; ISO 14001 or ISO 45001)
Registration with professional bodies on ISO 45001; ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 would be advantageous

5 years’ experience in Safety, Occupational Health & Hygiene or Environmental Management
5 Years relevant Mining / Process / Engineering/ experience which should include developing, implementing, managing and auditing of SHE and risk control initiatives and programs.
SHE Incident investigation (Loss Causation / ICAM / RCAT / SCAT / AICAT)
Risk Assessment Techniques: (BOW-TIE, WRACSWIFT, HAZOP, FMECA, AFRAD)
Presentation / facilitation / Training
Knowledge and skills

Computer literate (MS Power Point, Word, Excel, Access and Projects)
Valid drivers license
Lead Auditors courses for SHE Management Systems.
