Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for an established Regional Admin Manager for their Pretoria region. The position will responsible for the profitability of the region, managing retail store risk, administration operations and effective cost containment within group parameters.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Management
5 – 8 years’ Retail experience.
5 – 8 years’ experience in a Middle management or Store Management role.
Advantageous:

Bcomm(Accounting) degree, Retail Management Diploma or relevant commercial qualification.
Multi-Site Management role.

Job Specification:

Risk Management and Internal Control:

Implement and monitor operational adherence to company risk and internal control policies.
Evaluate risk factors to assist in the development risk management and internal control initiatives.
Respond to and correct negative audit findings
Financial Management:

Ensure the profitability targets of the region is achieved.
Conduct financial analyses and develop continuous improvement initiatives to remedy and enhance financial variances and performance.
Compile budgets
Control the financial performance of the region within the budgetary constraints.

Employee Development and Management:

Review the implementation of any employee-focused development initiatives. Ensure that all behaviors, decisions and actions within the team are aligned to the company vision and values.
Maintain a healthy workplace climate. Handle all referred matters relating to grievances, corrective actions and dismissals in a firm, fair and consistent manner.
Collaborate with HR to ensure succession plans are drawn up, and that action and opportunities are implemented to mentor and develop team members’ skills.
Ensure that the Region recruit, select, promote, reward and develop team members in accordance with fair, objective criteria to attract and retain the best people.
Aline recruitment plan with regional Employment Equity Plan.

Business Development:

Ensure new site openings are executed within the specifications and time frames provided.
Reporting:

Compile and present monthly and quarterly reports on audits to Regional Manager, with recommendations, action plans, deadlines and accountability.
Run and distribute daily store management reports.
