experience and qualifications
Minimum Qualification – Grade 12, Relevant Degree
Preferred Qualification – Bcom in Economics, Wealth or Investments
Experience – 3 – 5 years’ experience in wealth management or investments
Knowledge Required: Understanding of financial ratio’s
Ability to calculate interest and income to clients
Knowledge on Banking investment products
Financial Market Research

Background in Financial Advice or Asset Management
Previous experience in Multi Management or Manager Research environment preferable
Good systems skills (e.g. knowledge of evestment, Morningstar, Bloomberg, etc.)
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Conducting quantitative and qualitative fund/manager research
Documenting, analysing and reporting of findings
General research and report writing
Good knowledge of the unit trust and broader investment environment
Screening of local & international investment managers & funds through various sources
Taking part in manager meetings as part of the investment due diligence and ongoing monitoring process
Documenting the findings of manager meetings
Analysis of quantitative data in order to facilitate informed decision-making
Portfolio analysis of underlying funds
Building and maintaining a database of qualitative and quantitative data gathered for managers and funds
Maintenance of content management systems & databases
Compiling and maintaining approved “buy-lists” for various parts of the broader business
Taking part in the manager selection governance structures
General market awareness
Preparing reports, documents and presentations for various users
Handling queries
Specialised research and writing articles / education pieces
Analysis of client portfolios (risk/return, asset allocation, etc.)
Creating consolidated client reporting structures

Provide recommendations on tailor-made investment solutions using financial models, research and analysis to align with client specific needs
Identify and utilise opportunities for revenue growth to deliver on sales targets
Assess own performance through seeking timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within FNB and/or across the FRG
Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions
Develop new insights into situations and apply innovative solutions to make organisational improvements
Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes
Focus on providing optimal services and improving service delivery processes to meet or exceed customer expectations
Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
Prevent wastage and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
Educate sales team and investment advisors to improve service offering and increase sales results
