Join Lactalis at our Bonnievale Plant in the Process Pre-Pack department with the main responsibilities will be for planning and schedule of production, quality, maintenance of machines, controlling people in order for them to be as productive as possible. Successful candidates need to have at least 3 years’ relevant experience within FMCG environment. Must have 3 years experiences in a small packaging production area, must be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of production, compiling & managed production results and full adherence to all Safety & Health policies, procedures and legislation. Be fluent in English and be computer literate.
• Grade 12 or equivalent • A NQF 3 Food & Beverage packaging certificate/diploma will be in advantage • A NQF 3 Production Technology certificate/diploma will be in advantage • At least have 3 years experiences in a small packaging production area • At least 3 years experiences in a supervisory role • Computer literate • Good interpersonal skills • Excellent problem solving skills • Technical knowledge of small packaging equipment • Able to handle pressure • Motivate subordinates • Able to work long hours, shifts, weekends and public holidays • Willing to work in an extremely environment conditions. • Not be afraid of heights.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Ensure that the packaging machines are utilised at full capacity and that maximum production are achieved. • Optimise the feasibility with regards to productivity on a continuous basis and ensure that overall productivity performances are measured in kilograms per hour. • Analyse daily shift results. • Manage maintenance reports, track and diagnose all outstanding work defects or requests. • Prepare the weekly shifts analysis and production planning. • To fully utilise the team leaders’ potential by empowering and exposing them to new and better ideas. • Ensure that all products that leave the department comply with specifications. • Ensure that the cycle counts are done regularly and explain deviations on INV 19. • Monitor total off-cuts. • Do monthly stock take and manages deviations. • Set out detailed responsibilities to subordinates • Lead, empower and organise subordinates • Ensure that ISO, NOSA and HACCP procedures are in place • Ensure that all products that leave the department comply to specifications • Evaluate customer complaints weekly and take corrective action • Manage BPCS and OEE systems • Ensure that products that leave department comply with specifications. • Ensure that all administrative duties (control and check sheets) are completed as required. • Compile and evaluate the Key Performance Areas of the people reporting to you. • Manage KRONOS on a daily basis • Report all related problems to the Production Co-ordinator.
