Job Description
RCL FOODS is searching for a Process Leader to join our Engineering team at the Chicken Processing Plant based in Rustenburg. Reporting into the Senior Process Leader, the purpose of this role is to supervise the performance of a processing line in a specific area of the plant (including staff / process workers, machinery and material on that line) to achieve daily targets, to required product specifications, while meeting safety, health and quality standards.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of Grade 12 and a relevant NQF level 6 Qualification will be an added advantage. The incumbent must have a good understanding of the Islamic religion and be in good standing with the Muslim Judicial Council Halaal trust. 2 to 5 years’ relevant experience preferably in a unionised food processing plant. Excellent computer literacy. Ability to interact at all levels within the company as well as with suppliers. Fully bilingual. Very analytical, thorough and competent in all Engineering principals. Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in, and lead a team. Ability to work under pressure and independently. A clear understanding of ISO 22000/ISO 45001 and HACCP. A clear understanding of OHS Act.
Duties & Responsibilities
Managing, leading, controlling & training a working team. Maintaining and enforcing Halaal slaughtering rules as per Muslim Judicial Council standards and regulations. Daily planning of shift work. Achieving daily/ weekly team targets. Production related administration and process recording. Quality and efficiency control. Setting correct software program parameters on automated machinery. Ensure excellent housekeeping / food handling standards. Control production costs (labour, PPE and packaging).
