The appointee should:
Have Grade 12 Certificate and have professional secretarial qualification
Have at least 3 year’s experience as a professional secretary
Have extensive experience as an executive secretary in a corporate environment
Be fully proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Have the ability to work under pressure and take initiative
Exhibit a meticulous and well-organised work method
Coordinate and book detailed extensive domestic and international travel
Demonstrate well-developed written and verbal communication skills in English
Have sound diplomacy, discretion and interpersonal skills
Have excellent administrative, time management and organisational skills
Be competent in telephone etiquette
Be energetic and self-motivated
Display accurate and efficient typing skills (around 70 words per minute)
Be numerate and must be very detail orientated
Must possess good people skills
Have indisputable integrity, be trustworthy and be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Be willing and able to work overtime, over weekends and on public holidays when required
Possess his/her own transport and a valid code EB/B driver’s licence
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
Advantageous requirements:
Have previously worked in an internal audit or assurance department
Key responsibilities include:
General Administrative duties and secretarial duties
Maintaining all administrative documentation
Scheduling and/or organising meetings and workshops
Managing the boardroom bookings and the appearance of the boardroom
Managing the international travel requirements and accommodation arrangements
Managing and ensuring visas and passports are valid for international travel
Managing the forex requirements for the international travel
Preparing the monthly and yearly performance statistics for the teams
Fast and accurate typing
Drafting correspondence
Taking minutes of meetings
Developing presentations using PowerPoint
Liaising with other department personal assistants and arranging meetings
